Netball
Netball is the largest secondary school participation sport with 3000 winter members. The existing Hastings facilities, in particular, are inadequate and overdue for repair. The new facility includes 18 dedicated courts, (not shared with other sports) nine of which are floodlit. The new courts cater for growth across all age groups, including juniors who currently have no access to training facilities outside schools. The courts will also be the main base for the Hawke's Bay league and enhance the region's ability to host national tournaments.
Three additional indoor courts are available within the cycling velodrome.
