Welcome to Sports Park Hawke's Bay

Sports Park Hawke’s Bay is the most exciting development the region has ever seen. The 30 hectare site on the Hastings-Napier expressway already boasts a world-class athletics track and grandstand.

When asked to rate the venue at the January 2011 Colgate Games spectators gave it a 9 out of ten. Olympic silver medallist Nick Willis says “the track is fast, really fast. Lots of records will be broken here.” And he is right - lots of records have tumbled already.

There is a lot happening at the Park in 2011. In June, the new 18 court Hastings Pak'n Save Netball Centre opened.  Four new sports fields are being used by Football and Touch and a further 3 fields will come on stream for the 2012 winter season. These facilities replace dated existing facilities and cater for growth in these sports.

While the focus is currently on the completion of netball and football facilities, the Sports Park Trust and management team are considering a range of subsequent development options.  An announcement on these developments is due at the end of 2011.
